A carefully resolved interior fit-out for a modern dining experience, balancing intimate atmosphere with functional flow.
The client wanted a space that felt sophisticated yet approachable, reflecting the dual identity of Champagne & Maki as both a casual dining and premium beverage destination.
The brief included creating distinct zones for dining and bar service, ensuring efficient circulation for staff, and maximising a sense of openness and light despite a narrow footprint.
Our design approach focused on clarity, spatial hierarchy, and material restraint.
We defined separate dining and bar areas while maintaining visual continuity, using subtle screens, lighting, and material palettes to create a layered sense of intimacy. Strategic use of reflective surfaces and carefully positioned lighting ensures the space feels light-filled and vibrant without losing warmth.
Every intervention was measured: furniture layout, circulation paths, and service zones were carefully considered to support both everyday operation and the guest experience. Natural textures and muted tones reinforce a quiet sophistication, while touches of timber and stone connect diners to a tactile, human scale.
The fit-out delivers a space that feels composed, inviting, and memorable, enhancing the guest experience while supporting staff efficiency.
Champagne & Maki now offers a calm, considered environment that balances sophistication with accessibility, demonstrating how careful spatial and material decisions can elevate a hospitality brand.
